Fast forward to their wedding day in May. We’ve had some chilly and windy days this spring, and one of them was Ashley and Hunter’s wedding day. It’s not ideal weather, but I knew these two would take it in stride and have a blast regardless. A big shout out to Brenda of To Have and to Hold OBX! We always love working with her because we have complete faith that everything will work out perfectly in her hands.

Everything worked out, and everything was beautiful. Ashley and Hunter’s love and positive energy radiated onto everyone. Their family and wedding party couldn’t have been a better group to work with, and boy can they get down on the dance floor! I usually don’t post reception photos, but I just had to make an exception for this party. If anyone is looking for a wedding band, I can’t recommend Spare Change enough! This is the second wedding of ours that they’ve played. They were awesome both times and had that dance floor full from beginning until end.

This is an original 5D and is DAMAGED. Part of the shutter/mirror broke off on its own while shooting (camera was never dropped, etc.) When it broke last year, I never got around to sending it off to Canon and have since moved on to other cameras. I have no idea what it would cost to fix it, so don’t ask me! Feel free to take a look and decide for yourself. Easy fix or lost cause, I am selling this AS IS. I originally bought this camera from a wealthy hobbyist who never used it, so I am not the original owner.

> What’s your story? Who are you?
Hi! I’m erin! Im a wife, mother, sister and photographer of awesome people. I am originally from norfolk va. I spent most of my high school years taking every single art class my school had to offer. I had a passion for photography,drawing and pottery. When I was accepted into savannah College if art and design I was ecstatic! I spent the next five years in GA soaking in the creative culture of art school while working on my B.F.A. in graphic design. After school I landed a few design jobs until eventually had my dream job working as an art director at an advertising agency. Somewhere in there I found myself looking for a creative outlet outside of work and I reclaimed my love for photography. I took a few photos of my friend’s pregnant belly just for fun and placed them online to share with friends. Soon i had all kinds of requests to photograph other things and it snowballed into a full blown business.

> Why the Outer Banks?
I am a beach girl at heart and after starting a family and living in the city it was time for a slower pace of life. Plus my family moved here after I graduated high school so it already felt like home.

> What are your hobbies/passions in life?
I love to go thrifting…before Makelmore said it was cool. I love the beach. I love exploring places I’ve never been. I love the simple things in life like spending time with my family.

> How and why did you get into photography?
I kinda already covered that one

> What is your favorite part of a wedding day?
I love that moment right after the first kiss and the couple turns to their guests. In that moment as they walk back down the isle they are so happy. Every couple is different…some throw their hands up in a “we did it” motion others can’t keep their eyes off one another. Either way it’s the best part.

> If you weren’t a photographer, what would you be?
My husband and I always talk about opening a restaurant that could be worthy of a visit from Guy Fieri. You know a place that the food is sooo bad for you but oh so good.

> What is your favorite…

> music/bands?
My music tastes are all over the place. One day I will be editing photos listening to bluegrass the next day I will be at the gym crushing it on the elliptical listening to ludicrous. I guess it depends on my mood. Pandora is my friend.

> color?
I love all colors but at the moment I have a crush on aqua and orange.

> activity?
I like taking walks or riding my bike with no destination in mind.

> food?
Anything Mexican. I could eat guacamole for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

> TV show?
I probably watch too much tv. My faves to watch with my hubby are The Walking Dead, Dexter and Sons of Anarchy. I also love The New Girl, The Office, Modern Family and I am pretty sure I have seen every single episode of Friends about 100 times…its just always funny!
